Fu Ming Zhu is a high self-esteem woman. She is the only daughter of Fu Zhi Qiang, Taipei fashion giant and millionaire. In young age, she fell madly in love with Li Jun Ren, a talented young designer, and married him. Under Ming Zhu guidance, Jun Ren built a reputation in fashion world. Ming Zhu looked forward to Jun Ren's gratitude, but her husband has his own pride. After the love wave cool down, Ming Zhu found out that marriage alone can not meet her life。 In order to save the their marriage, Pearl was pregnant with a child. But it one occasion to attend an important business meeting out of town, she decided to have a caesarean section to deliver her son, Li Hao Zhe, when her pregnancy is only months-old! Li Junren was very angry because of her decision, and they split up, both marriage and business. Jun Ren built his own fashion label. Ming Zhu left Taiwan and built a new life abroad.
This failure of early marriage hurt not only Ming Zhu and Jun Ren, but also affected their son. Li Hao Zhe. Growing up without maternal love, Hao Zhe almost never smile. He had a cold relationship with his father and step mother, Ren Ling Ling. Like his peer, he was eager to pursuit his own life.
Memorable Christmas Eve, Unforgettable First Love
Every person have unforgetable moments, just like Hao Zhe' hate feeling toward her biological mother, and his first love Summer. Five years ago, as the SARS epidemic swept over Taipei, Summer's father's travel agency business was on the verge of closure. This shut the door of Summer's plan to study abroad in UK. On one Christmas eve, confused of her own future, Summer, standing on the edge of a balcony, looking toward Taipei blazing night scene, were contemplating to end her life. Come a young man of her age, sharing his own misery of growing up in a broken family，willing to surrender his life for her own. In the unlikely moment, two young desperate and lonely hearts exchange vows. It was their first love and first night. They did not know each other's name, but the couple promised to pray for each other's happiness every sunrise and sunsets.
With this new love and faith, Summer lived a happier life. She developed positive attitude toward every challenges. Five years later after that christmas eve, she lived independently in Taipei and opened a wedding gown business. Her family moved to Tainan and opened a bed and breakfast. But Summer never forget the young man she met that christmas even. Every sunrise and sunsets she prayed for him, wishing him a warm family.
Re-encounter and Early Marriage
Legend has it, the fate of love. All these years SUMMER lived in Taipei with her housemates, Joan and He Si Yu. They were very closed to each other. Joan was a talented photographer. He loved Summer, but Summer did not accepted him.
Summer's former classmate Jian Mei Li asked Summer to be her bridesmaid. This led to re-encountering with her first love. Unfortunately, her first love, Li Hao Zhe, was now her friend Mei Li's future husband. Compare to five years earlier, Hao Zhe was even a bitter person. As Ren Ling Ling's assistant, Summer can only wish the best for Hao Zhe. Disguised as Mei Li, Summer sent an e-mail to invite Hao Zhe's biological mother to attend his marriage.
Initially, Hao Zhe agreed to marry Mei Li to get his father's inheritance and escape of his step mother's control. But, after meeting Summer again, he wanted to cancel the wedding.
To avoid Hao Zhe, Summer accepted Joan's love, and secretly planned to end it after Mei Li's wedding. But Hao Zhe had his own plan. He pretended to agree for the wedding as long as Summer attend it. On the wedding day, he back-off the altar and grab Summer to run-off with him. That same day, his biological mother Ming Zhu returned to Taipei to attend his wedding. She blamed Ren Ling Ling for Hao Zhe's cancelled wedding. Summer and Hao Zhe returned to Taiwan after registering marriage in the Philippines, but this newly-wed couple would face many obstacles.
Early Marriages End Early
Still blinded about the real sender of that invitation e-mail, Fu Ming Zhu mistook Summer as a bad girl while recognized Jian Mei Li as a good one. Ming Zhu froze Hao Zhe's bank accounts, but of course Hao Zhe did not yield. He lived with Summer and her housemates, but it was not easy for him since he was an introvert.
While Ming Zhu supported Mei Li, Ren Ling Ling stood by Summer. Ling Ling believed Summer‘ love for Hao Zhe was sincere. Not to hurt Hao Zhe, Ling Ling bore all blames on herself. Summer admired her for her perseverance.
Commitment and responsibility in a marriage life is hard for many men to stand. Pull -off his former job and life-style, Hao Zhe could only assist in his friend Ming Liang's cakeshop. Ming Liang lived on a wheelchair after a traffic accident involving Hao Zhe's father. Although Hao Zhe had a share in the cakeshop, Ming Liang was decisive to manage the shop by himself. Hao Zhe's plan to re-manage the shop led to clash between this two friends.
A visit from Summer's parent, plus Joan's attention to Summer, turned Hao Zhe and Summer relationship into sour. Moreover, Hao Zhe's acceptance of Mei Li's assistance did not help Summer to have more confidence in her marriage.
To Ming Zhu, Hao Zhe was exactly as selfish and hard-headed as his father. She predicted that Hao Zhe would follow his father's step. To Ren Ling Ling, Summer is the younger version of Ling Ling herself， a hard worker and sincere person. The return of Fu Ming Zhu, plus the support of fashion industry to Ming Zhu, made Ren Ling Ling questioned if her hard work worth anything. She did not want Summer to follow her path.
While everyone is searching for their own answers, Jian Mei Li is the only person knew exactly what she want. Only Hao Zhe's divorce can pay her humiliation on the altar! She made Summer believe Hao Zhe's disloyal to her, while let Hao Zhe isolated. As her wish, not more than 3 months, Hao Zhe and Summer's marriage ended.
Life Without You
Is divorce a new beginning? Hao Zhe returned to his pre-marriage lifestyle, but live his life without smile. He planned to build a chain of cakeshop, but lack of funding. On the other side, Summer found she's pregnant. To humiliate Summer, Mei Li offer to "buy" her future baby. At the same time, Mei Li pretended pregnancy and forced Hao Zhe to marry her. Not to stand-in Hao Zhe's path to success, Summer decided to return Tainan. She also pretended to have relationship with Joan to let Hao Zhe give up of her.
Ren Ling Ling told Ming Zhu who the real person sending her the invitation e-mail is. To help her son out of dilemma, Ming Zhu decide to teach Mei Li a lesson.
I Return for the Faith of Love
Ming Zhu's return to Taiwan, not only driven by that invitation e-mail, but also of her suffering from stomach cancer. She return to meet her love-rival, her son and future daughter-in-law, and to pay respect to her husband's tomb, for his love and respect.
"Fen Sha Zhuang Yuan" wedding dress business was Ming Zhu and Jun Ren's dream in their early marriage life. After their divorce, she never expect Jun Ren will continue building their dream with his new wife Ren Ling Ling. Since Ming Zhu knows the best how to manage this business, on her return, she took over the management control of "Fen Sha Zhuan Yuan" from Ren Ling Ling's hand, misled everybody she is an uncooperative person. The truth is, because she is running out of time, she wants to pass all her experience to Ren Ling Ling, because she recognize Ling Ling's love and care toward her son.
Many relationships turn cold due to understandings. Li Hao Zhe's stubbornness is his deliberateness to make his biological mother feeling guilty. His attitude hurt peoples who love him. Ming Zhu felt Summer's pain, understood Mei Li's humiliation, even admired Ling Ling's love and contribution. When she left Li Jun Ren, she thought she was tough and indifference of love. But she was exhausted when Jun Ren married another woman. Jun Ren and herself tormented each other.
In fact, on the night Jun Ren's accident, he was having a dinner with Ming Zhu. Woman always force man to choose which one his true love is. She told him she live happily with a new family in the US. She enjoyed Jun Ren's disappointment. This man never give her up. On the way driving home, Jun Ren phoned her, admit his regret for not recovering their marriage ... followed by the sound of traffic accidents crashes! That testament is his last word! From that on, to punish herself, Ming Zhu never accept anyone's love.
When you have only limited hours, everything is becoming precious. Not only admitting his biological mother, Li Hao Ren also recognizing the purpose of his life. He wanted to pursue back Summer. It led him to understand, marriage is not only an emotional reaction between a man and a woman, but they also have to be the role model for next generation.
What Ren Ling Ling found in Fu Ming Zhu is not a love-rival, but a mentor and a friend, a person who understand her best. Ming Zhu did not tell Ling Ling about Jun Ren's last words, because she hope everyone live with the faith of love.
To be able to pray for their love ones in every sunrise or sunset, is the most beautiful happiness in ones' life.  |
